An apology for absence was submitted by Councillor Murphy with Councillor Newton attending as a substitute.

RESOLVED: to adopt and agree that the chair sign as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on 12 August 2020.

Exclusion of the public

Purpose: to consider whether to exclude members of the press and public from the meeting for the following item of business under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 and as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006 on the grounds that:

(i) it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, and

(ii) the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

 

Minutes:

RESOLVED: to exclude members of the press and public from the meeting for the following item of business under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 and as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006 on the grounds that:

40.

Performance and development review of the chief executive

Minutes:

The committee considered the performance and development review of Mark Stone, Chief Executive that had been undertaken by the Leaders of South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse district councils. An open and positive discussion was undertaken.  The committee reviewed and supported the performance review form completed by the chief executive and the Leaders, which included the objectives for the next 12 months set by the Leaders. The committee welcomed the improvements to the performance review approach and the alignment of the chief executive’s targets with the corporate plans of both councils.
