Apologies for absence were submitted on behalf of Councillor Smith, with Councillor Thomas attending as substitute, and Councillor Rouane, with Councillor Powell attending as substitute.

Exclusion of the public

Purpose: To consider whether to exclude members of the press and public from the meeting for the following items of business under Section 100A and 100I of the Local Government Act 1972 on the grounds that:

(i)    It is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as

defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Schedule 12A, and

(ii)   the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

RESOLVED:to exclude members of the press and public from the meeting for the following items of business under Section 100A and 100I of the Local Government Act 1972 on the grounds that:

The committee conducted an interview for the head of corporate services post.

 

The committee received a presentation and conducted a formal interview, with Mark Stone, Chief Executive, and Adrianna Partridge, Deputy Chief Executive – Transformation and Operations, present.

 

The committee agreed an appointment to the head of corporate services post.

 

RESOLVED: to appoint Mark Minion as head of corporate services, subject to confirmation from Cabinet members that there are no objections.
