Purpose: to award a contract for three sites

Decision:

To award Earth Trust a five-year contract with effect from 1 April 2024 to deliver custodianship and volunteer management services of countryside land on three sites in the District of South Oxfordshire and three sites in the Vale (Countryside Management Services).  This will be a joint contract with the Vale of White Horse District Council.

To:

1)       approve the acceptance of the Swimming Pool Support Fund Phase 2 grant of £160,351 to solar photovoltaic (PV) panels at Thame Leisure Centre.

2)       authorise the Head of Development and Corporate Landlord to finalise the terms of and enter into the funding agreement required to secure the funding.

04/05/2024 - Waste Transfer Station and Reprocessing procurements ref: 903    Recommendations Approved

Purpose: to approve the procurement of contracts for a waste transfer station and reprocessing of dry mixed recycling

Decision:

For the council, acting jointly with Vale, to begin two specific procurement exercises. These are specifically to resolve the need for access to a transfer facility for recyclable material collected from households, and the need for the dry mixed recyclable (DMR) material to be reprocessed. The reprocessing contract may also include haulage from the transfer station to the re-processor.
